ChamberWest Government Action Committee

   The job...keep Moving Business Forward™

The chamber's Government Action committee gets involved in the activities of local, state, and national government officals to encourage an environment conducive to business. This committee generally meets monthly. They also are a part of the South Valley Chambers Coalition during the general and special legislative sessions and monthly meetings as part of the Western Growth Coalition.

The committee meet on the second Wednesday of every month at Pioneer Valley Hospital's Admin. Conference Room at 8:00 a.m.  A complimentary breakfast is provided for chamber members.

Efforts include policies on Transportation, Unfair Government Competition and Energy/Conservation.  ChamberWest also took a position in 2007 calling the school district split "premature."  The Chamber also provided input towards West Valley City's sign ordinance.

IN 2010 and 2011, ChamberWest has been working on economic development improvements, Prosperity 2020 and other business-led initiatives.
